Imanol Lekue
Lawyer at the European Investment Bank
Former student at Deusto Law School
"When I decided to study the LLM degree, I was already working at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. I realised I needed to gain further insight into Transnational and Comparative Law to address not only the financial operations I was working on but also, for example, to interact with colleagues in the legal department who came from a wide range of legal traditions.
A lawyer trained in common law has a different law viewpoint from that held in civil law jurisdictions; this is why being capable of understanding the approach that an Anglo-Saxon jurist would take to a specific issue is a great advantage for any lawyer."
